      Julia was one of the most amazing people I have met. Kind, attentive, helpful and interested in assisting everyone in their personal and individual quests. I was a complete novice and felt included, respected and valued. Nothing was too much trouble for Julia and the people in the group were all amazing and inspiring.           Saturday arrival day. Welcome Ikaria

          • Arrival at 16:30: Get comfortably settled in. Be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink crafted from locally sourced herbal infusions.
          • 17:00 to 18:15: Indulge in a gentle yoga session specially designed to ease travel-weary muscles. Following the session, gather with the group for an introduction and engaging ice-breaking activities.
          • 19:15: Immerse yourself in the authentic flavors of Ikaria with a traditional dinner at Kealaris Fish Taverna in Gialiskari village.

          Sunday / Day 1: Rhythms of the Island & Introduction to Longevity

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Awaken your spirit with a sunrise yoga session and tranquil meditation by the shimmering sea.
          • 09:30 – 10:30: Enjoy a nourishing breakfast to start your day.
          • 10:30 – 12:00: Venture into the enchanting landscape, meandering through ancient olive groves, and immerse yourself in the wisdom of Ikaria’s indigenous herbs.
          • 12:00 – 13:30: Engage in a captivating talk about the island’s well-kept secret to longevity.
          • 13:30 – 14:30: Savor a delightful lunch at The Egg, replenishing your energy for the day’s journey.
          • 14:30 – 17:00: Relish your well-deserved free time. Explore close by beach, relax, or simply unwind at your leisure.
          • 17:00 – 18:30: Reconnect with your inner self during an evening yoga session. Dive deep into breathing techniques and a more extended Savasana, unlocking the timeless secrets to a long and fulfilling life.
          • 19:00: Gather for a charming dinner experience at a nearby taverna, where you’ll taste the flavors of Ikaria’s culinary traditions.

          Monday / Day 2: Nature Embrace

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Gently awaken your body with a Vinyasa flow, focusing on opening your hips in preparation for a day of hiking ahead.
          • 10:00: Pick-up from the Karras Hotel.
          • 10:30: Arrive at your destination, the starting point of your adventure.
          • 10:30 – 16:00: Embark on a remarkable hike through the Ancient Forest of Rhandi, a captivating 5-6 hour expedition into nature’s embrace, with a guide. Enjoy a packed lunch amidst this pristine wilderness.
          • 16:00: Conclude your memorable hike and get picked up for a comfortable return to the hotel.
          • 16:30: Arrive back at the hotel, where you can freshen up and relax.
          • 17:30 – 18:30: Join for a soothing yoga practice designed to ease your hips and legs after the day’s exhilarating hike, allowing you to unwind and rejuvenate.
          • 19:00: After a long walk, indulge ourselves in a delightful dinner that awaits us at The Egg place.

          Tuesday / Day 3: Deep Dives & Revitalization

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Immerse yourself in the serenity of Yin Yoga and a Slow Flow session, focused on profound relaxation and gentle movements to rejuvenate your spirit.
          • 09:15 – 10:30: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
          • 10:30: Get ready for a day of exploration as we pick you up from Karras Hotel.
          • 12:00: Arrive at the Thermal Hot Springs, where you’ll embark on a restorative journey of relaxation and rejuvenation amidst the healing waters.
          • 14:30: Continue your day’s adventure as you arrive at Faros.
          • 14:30 – 15:30: Savor a delightful beachfront picnic lunch at Faros Beach, prepared picnic box while soaking in the stunning beach views.
          • 15:45 – 17:15: Enjoy a scenic bus ride from Faros back to the comfort of the Karras Hotel.
          • 18:00 – 19:45: Recharge your energy and surrender to tranquility during a rejuvenating yoga practice. Experience the soothing embrace of Restorative Yoga, allowing you to unwind and find inner peace.

          Wednesday / Day 4: Nourish the Soul

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Immerse in a nurturing yet invigorating yoga flow session, followed by a mindful meditation to feed your soul.
          • 09:15 – 10:15: Relish a satisfying breakfast at the hotel.
          • 10:30 – 15:30: Embark on a delightful journey of Ikarian cuisine with a cooking class, where you’ll learn the cherished recipes renowned for promoting longevity. Enjoy a delicious lunch right at the cooking location, savoring the fruits of your culinary efforts. The location & timings TBC.Β 
          • 16:30: Return to the comfort of Karras Hotel, enriched with newfound culinary wisdom.
          • 17:00 – 18:30: Nurture & soothe your body/mind during a yoga practice designed to restore and rejuvenate, including a blissful Yoga Nidra session.
          • 19:00: Satisfy your appetite with a delightful dinner at one of the charming local tavernas, immersing yourself in the authentic flavors of Ikaria.

          Thursday / Day 5: Dance and Celebrate

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Begin your day with a creative morning mandala yoga flow session, igniting your inner creativity.
          • 09:15 – 10:30: Savor a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, preparing yourself for a day of exploration and fun.
          • 10:30 – 12:00: Enjoy free time, giving you the opportunity to unwind, explore, or simply relax at your own pace.
          • 12:00 – 13:00 – Expressive and liberating afternoon yoga session, where the flow of creativity intertwines with mindful movements, igniting your inner spirit and setting the stage for the rhythmic delights of our upcoming dance lesson.
          • 13:00 – 14:00: Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Ikaria with a traditional Ikarian dance lesson, where you’ll discover the rhythms of the island.
          • 14:00 – 15:00: Relish a delightful lunch at The Egg.
          • 15:00 – 17:30: Unwind and bask in the serenity of one of Ikaria’s tranquil beaches during your leisure time. Optional water activities such as paddle boarding or snorkeling are available for those seeking a splash of adventure.
          • 17:30 – 18:30: Wind down your day with a gentle yoga session, allowing you to find peace and balance.
          • 18:45: Embark on a journey of the senses with a local wine tasting experience, dinner, lively dance where you’ll embrace the island’s vibrant spirit through dance and merriment.

          Friday / Day 6: Reflect and Reconnect

          • 08:00 – 09:15: Begin your day with a serene silent walk meditation, leading you to the beach. Followed by a slow, intuitive yoga session, allowing you to reflect and deeply connect with yourself and the natural surroundings.
          • 09:15 – 10:15: Savor a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, nurturing your body and spirit for the day ahead.
          • 13:00: Enjoy a delicious lunch at The Egg, or opt for a packed lunch to take with you for a picnic on your excursion.
          • 13:00 – 14:30: Embark on a scenic drive to Seychelles beach, renowned as one of the most stunning destinations in Ikaria.
          • 17:30 – 19:00: Return to the comfort of the hotel, reflecting on the day’s experiences during the drive back.
          • 19:00 – 20:00: Gather for a group sharing circle and a serene candlelit yoga session, creating an atmosphere of reflection and unity. This is followed by a heartfelt farewell dinner and a closing ceremony.
          • 20:00: Come together for our final dinner, a moment to cherish as we dine either at the Karras Hotel or in one of the nearby tavernas, celebrating the bonds forged during our time together.

          • 08:00 – 09:30: Gather for our final longevity, mindful yoga session, infused with gratitude, and a heartfelt meditation to conclude our time together.
          • 09:30 – 10:30: Join us for a special farewell breakfast at the Karras Hotel, a final moment to savor the flavors and connections we’ve nurtured.
          • 10:30: Check out and departure after breakfast, marking the end of our unforgettable and transformative retreat in Ikaria. Thank you for being a cherished part of this journey.

          Julia is a wonderful yoga teacher, she’s very patient and spends time making sure everyone is comfortable and getting the most out of her classes. Her retreats are idyllic and include other activities alongside yoga to compliment and provide a lovely relaxing break from busy everyday life.           Transportation in Ikaria

          It is suggested to rent cars (or scooters) as a group of 3-4 people per car. The price can be up to Β£40 per day renting from a decent, reliable company. We are not in a peak season but, I would look to book sometimes May/June next 2024 so you can secure a car.

          Transportation to Ikaria

          There are multiple ways to get from the UK to Ikaria. I would recommend the quickest n.1. option.Β Β 

          1. / Return flight to Mykonos directly with Easy Jet or BA. Airports: Luton, Stansted, Gatwick with BA. Then, take appx. 2 1/5 hours scenic ferry journey from Mykonos – Evdilos, Ikaria. Only about 20 mins by car to our Karras Hotel )
          2. / Flights to Ikaria Airport ( JIK ) to Agios Kirykos, operated from Olympic Airlines from Athens. For more options visit The EGG website.
