We all have a powerful vessel. It’s called a body. And the body has the ability to heal itself – if we create the right conditions.
Hi there, I’m Julia. From the beginning I got a taste for healthy living, eating dishes made from the organic produce grown on my grandparent’s land in Slovakia. I still remember the flavour of those fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables. But it wasn’t until later in life that I learnt first-hand the importance of this.
A story we can all relate to
Just before 2000, I made the move to London. I was working in a creative industry, and travelling with my job across the UK and to far-flung places. Leading such a busy life, it was hard to find the time to look after myself properly and eat well. Developing bad lifestyle habits had an impact on my health and wellbeing.
Because of my poor nutrition, allergies and sensitivities appeared, and I became hypoglycaemic. Finding little time to exercise, I was becoming physically weaker, with tiredness, colds and mood swings constantly making things harder. This led to low energy and high stress levels. I thought this was normal; just a fact of modern life.
Does this sound familiar? For many of us, it is.
But it doesn’t have to be. I believe there’s another way. By reaching our optimal health and wellbeing, we can enjoy every day without these symptoms. It doesn’t matter that we’re all getting older, as there’s always a way to feel younger and vibrant – at any age.
The path to wellness
A change started to take place in 2015, when I moved to Bedfordshire with my partner. Making more time for myself meant I could experiment with home cooking and practise yoga. I felt a positive shift in my health and wellbeing. I was rebuilding myself physically, mentally and emotionally.
By spring 2018, I was ready to take my 200 hours yoga teacher training and travelled to Costa Rica where I totally immersed myself into the comprehensive training. Since, I have taught over 1100 teaching hours online and in-studios. Additionally, I have 50hr Meditation training with Josh Summers in 2019 and, Level 1. & Level 2. Restorative with Anna Ashby in 2022.
Practising yoga regularly, I had the tools to improve my life. Thanks to yoga, I’ve learnt how breathing patterns enhance our cardiovascular health. I’m more mindful and aware, and I’m able to manage stress and get a good night’s sleep. Combined with healthy nutritional meals, I feel younger and more vibrant. Now, everything has changed for the better, and I’m ready to help you achieve the same.
