Winter’s Pause: Nourishing Practice – 39 mins practice

A mantra to use for this Winter’s Pause nourishing practice.

” I allow myself to Rest, Reflect and Renew. ”

Embrace Winter hibernation. We can’t actually hibernate, it is not part of our biology, but, we can mimic what animals do during hibernation, – animals heart rate and breathing slows down.

Winter Hibernation is not idleness. It’s about ” Intentional Rest and Reflection.” So focus on slowing down with slow intentional movements and deep breaths, and long exhalations.

Expect throughout: a free style of joyful cat & cow movements, thread & needle, gentle opening in a low lunge, supported child pose and our favourite: Viparita Karani – legs up to the wall.

Prepare: cushion, 3x blankets, yoga bolster ( or, pillow ), yoga mat and be close to the wall.

Enjoy the practice, let me know how you felt afterwards. Namaste!
