As we slowly transition into Autumn, it is more important than ever to find a time. 

To find a time to plan your meals so they are a full of nutrition, more fibre, healthy fats, more protein, extra vitamins & minerals to support your immune system as we entering colder, rainy, shorter sunny days. 

Heathy food for your mood, energy & brain. Choose: 

🥜 Nuts and seeds - almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, pistachios, sesame seeds, chia seeds, cashew, pumpkin & sunflower seeds 
🫒Healthy fats - oily fish - wild salmon, small fish - sardines, olive oil, chia seeds, avocados
🍌 Fibre - Apples, Pears, Cartots, Beets, Brussels sprouts, Lentils, Chickpeas, Split peas, Quinoa, Black beans. 

They all provide Tryptophan - an amino acid which is responsible for producing mood-boosting serotonin. 

Add in AUTUMN: 🍂
Also, Turmeric, Brocolli, Dark chocolate ( be aware of sugar intake ), Oranges, Green Tea & Eggs - but in moderation. 

Improve your mood: 
🥭 mangos, blueberries 🫐 - antioxidant great fighter against free radicals. Both these fruits are great source of omega-3 fatty acids, can help to boost your mood. 
Also, bananas 🍌 and papaya - both high in magnesium which can help reduce anxiety and improve mood. 

🆙 Increase on Zinc, Iron & B12! For energy production, better memory and mental function. We might need it more in upcoming season.

Transition into Autumn can be a challenging for so Transition into Autumn can be a challenging for some. 

More work load, more of everything. 

So how do we manage it all? How do we manage stress this Autumn? 

Simple with a consistency, bringing deep, slow conscious breath to your day. Before work, during or after 5-10mins to stimulate your vagus nerves. By stimulating vagus nerves it will activate PNS - parasympathetic nervous system - ‘ rest & digest’ . 

The vagus nerves communicate between the brain and heart. Lungs and abdominal organs. VN helps to regulate most of the bodily functions, by stimulating VN slows down the heart rate, helps for better digestion, cardiovascular health. 

Keep stimulating your vagus nerves as it promotes relaxation, rest and restitution. 

Take one step at a time to those powerful simple breathing - abdominal breathing = diaphragmatic breathing and, see what happens when you apply regular breathing exercises to your daily life. 

Of course, happy to support , you are welcome to join my online or in-person classes… esp. Restorative sessions as we move very slowly or not at all and the focus in those classes are on conscious breath, softening, release and energy boost by deep breathing & relaxation.
