My little in-flight ritual: a few minutes of alter My little in-flight ritual: a few minutes of alternative nostril breathing. It calms my nerves, opens my breath, and reminds me to slow down. And especially now—right before Christmas—our nervous system needs all the support it can get.

A tiny reset goes a long way. We all need those small pauses… on the plane, at work, at home… anywhere.”

Are you practicing 😮‍💨 Are you taking a minute to pause and to support your nervous system?

✨Finding Joy This Festive Season — On the Mat, At ✨Finding Joy This Festive Season — On the Mat, At the Table, and In Our Daily Moments.

I think we all crave a little more of at this time of year: “ JOY “

Saturdays walks, shared coffees, teaching yoga, Christmas lunch with our little yoga community. I feel deeply grateful — not just for the food or the celebrations, but for the connection.

Because what we share together is so much more than yoga.
It’s the support, the conversations, the quiet presence we hold for each other… and the reminder that joy is often found in the simplest moments.

And as we move into the festive season, I want to remind all of us (me included!) to do everything we can to bring more joy into our lives.
JOY doesn’t just happen — sometimes, we have to create the conditions for it.

✨ Move Your Body — Your Brain Will Thank You.
Maybe for you it’s running, walking, dancing, playing golf, or rolling out your yoga mat. Whatever brings you back into your body — do more of that. Movement boosts serotonin, dopamine, and all those beautiful brain chemicals that lift our mood naturally.

✨ Eat Foods That Support Joy.
Joy starts in the brain, and what we eat truly matters.
Foods rich in ‘tryptophan’ help our bodies produce serotonin — the neurotransmitter linked to happiness, calm, and emotional balance. Think:
	•	Turkey (hello, Christmas lunch!)
	•	Nuts & seeds
	•	Eggs
	•	Chocolate (yes, permission granted!)
	•	Bananas & Oats
	•	Salmon and Chickpeas

✨ Slow Down, Be Present, and Find Happiness Within. As meditation teacher Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us: “There is no way to happiness — happiness is the way.”

✨ Choosing Joy Every Day
So this Christmas season, let’s choose joy.
Let’s practice it.
Let’s eat for it.
Let’s move for it.
Let’s notice it in all the tiny moments that make a life.

Let us embrace the wisdom of those who came before us, remembering that joy is not found outside ourselves but is a natural part of who we are. Only then can we live a life not defined by fleeting moments of happiness but by a continuous expression of inner peace and contentment.

Let’s bring more JOY into our world — together. 🙏

Gut-friendly Fava Feast with Grilled Salmon. Thi Gut-friendly Fava Feast with Grilled Salmon.

This dish has been inspired by @ikarian_way_of_life traditional IKARIAn dish made of yellow split peas called FAVA’ . Usually is blended at the end of cooking, but at home we decided not to blend. Not the first time cooking…. And every time is better! 😋

After two hours cooking, It is served almost mashy and this evening we added grilled salmon.

What can I say; warming, a full of fibre ( your gut will be very happy ) with so many delicious flavours of veggies, fresh herbs and olive oil.

When you join Living Well Boot Camp in January , there will be many healthy dishes that we will experiment together and get inspired by.

What is your Autumn healthy dish that you keep coming back to? 🍲
