Autumn Awareness 🍂 - Let go Like the Trees do. Autumn Awareness 🍂 - Let go Like the Trees do. 

Every year… these trees turn red.
For just a little while — a week, maybe two — they burn with colour,
then quietly… let it all go.
No struggle. No holding on.
Just surrender.

I walk beneath them and I ask;
how often do we try to hold on to what’s already changing?
The trees don’t resist the ending of a season;
they trust the rhythm of life.

Autumn carries a different kind of energy —
softer… slower…
a whisper that says:
pause. breathe. listen.
Smell the air, feel the quiet shift.
Sometimes we need to slow down to hear what’s really calling us.

Autumn reminds us:
letting go isn’t losing —
it’s making space for what’s next.

So follow the rhythm of this season… 
surrender ( when needed to be ) 
and be fully yourself before letting go. 

And now I ask you — 
what are you still holding onto? 
Could it be a memory ( good or bad ), a holiday moment, a job, a relationship… or something else that your heart is NOT ready to RELEASE?

Over the years, YOGA has taught me the importance Over the years, YOGA has taught me the importance of slowing down — not just on the mat, but in life itself.
It helped me recognise that I need SPACE, SOFTNESS and PRESENCE — and that it’s perfectly okay not to fill every day with doing.

Our week in Madeira was a beautiful reminder of that.
We didn’t plan every moment or rush from one adventure 2 another. We walked the levadas, other days we simply stayed close — swimming at sunrise, breathing in mountain air, tasting local food, watching the world unfold quietly around us.

We realised how nourishing it felt not to chase experiences, but to truly inhabit them.
By not travelling far, we arrived more deeply — to each place, to each other, to ourselves.
And that simplicity brought a kind of ease and connection that no itinerary ever could.

Now, as the holiday gently fades into memory, I’m reminded of impermanence — the quiet truth that everything changes.
That the beauty of each moment lies in its passing — and our capacity to be fully there while it lasts.

IMPERMANENCE can be unsettling.
We like what’s familiar, what stays.
But yoga teaches that change is not something to resist — it’s an invitation to grow, to soften, to trust.
Impermanence, non-attachment, and union are woven together, guiding us back to presence again and again.

So as we return to daily life — work, routines, cooler mornings — I hold these moments close, not to cling to them, but to HONOUR them.
To remember that life itself is sacred precisely because it’s always changing.

This morning, at 1820 meters above Madeira, the world seemed to hold its breath as light broke through the clouds at Pico do Arieiro.

A reminder that beginnings can still take our breath away — even in their daily recurrence. Each one feels different, just as life itself does…

A reflection of what I teach — that presence turns even the ordinary into the extraordinary.

And, every moment holds the power to transform us, if we let it. ✨
