After 8 years as Julia K Healthy Living, this work has a new name: NeuroWellness One.

In all those years — on the mat, in coaching sessions, on retreats — I kept meeting the same truth: the women I work with don’t need another quick fix. They need a nervous system that feels safe, a gut that supports their brain, and rest that actually restores.

So I’ve brought everything I know into one method, built on three pillars:

* REGULATE — somatic practices & breathwork

* NOURISH — gut-brain nutrition & hormonal health

* RESTORE — restorative yoga, sleep & gentle movements

What changes? Just the name.

What stays: me, 1:1 coaching, the classes, the retreats — and everything we’ve built together over 8 years.

Today was about swimming, slowing down, breathing deeply, laughing freely, and sharing simple moments with a good friend.

The deepest restoration rarely arrives through words. It comes through experience, feeling and presence — where water quiets the mind, 
laughter softens the heart, 
and a single shared moment becomes 
a memory that nourishes the soul. 🌊💙

I went to swimming twice today… so lucky we have @boxendpark just round the corner… today, was a simple delight.🏊‍♀️

I spent the day at the IPM Conference @ipmcongress I spent the day at the IPM Conference @ipmcongress - Integrative & Personalised Medicine, surrounded by doctors, practitioners, and speakers who are deeply committed to a more holistic, root-cause approach to health.

It was one of those days that stays with you.

To be in a room with medical professionals - many of whom have been practicing for over 30 years - openly speaking about the limitations of the conventional model was both powerful and deeply affirming. Again and again, the message was clear: for so many patients, the standard approach is simply not enough. It often manages symptoms, but does not always support true healing or recovery.
 
What moved me most was hearing leading voices in brain health and functional medicine speak not only about disease, but about prevention, restoration, and possibility.
 
Among the incredible speakers were @mindhealth360 @dr.ebonicornish @drmiguelmateas @dr.felicegersh @raydorseymd Dr. Ray Dr. Kat Toups, who shared clinical work on preventing and even reversing cognitive decline alongside Dr. Dale Bredesen’s approach.

One was the growing understanding that many chronic conditions, including neurological ones, do not appear overnight. They build over time through layers of stress, inflammation, toxicity, poor nourishment, hormonal shifts, sleep disruption, and overload. 

I was so pleased to hear the importance of the vagus nerve and nervous system regulation - something that, as a yoga teacher, wellness health coach felt especially meaningful to hear…  echoed so strongly in medical spaces.

So much of what I hold for my clients through somatic, restorative, and regulating practices is about creating the conditions in which the body can begin to soften, settle, and recover.

Create the Inner Conditions that allow the Body and Brain to Heal.

And perhaps that is part of the deeper invitation for all of us - not only to do more, but to create the inner conditions that allow the body and brain to heal.
