My best friend Tatiana and I have shared 35 years of friendship—and even though we live in different countries and don’t see each other often, the moment we are together, it’s like no time has passed. 

We pick up our conversations exactly where we left off, laughing, crying, sharing stories, eating, and sipping coffee together.

Her daughter, just over 30 years old and her little one, just 10 months old, remind me how friendship can transcend distance and even generations. 

Our bond is built on joy, laughter, love, and unwavering support—a connection that is healthy, life-giving, and deeply nurturing, even after three and a half decades. 💛

Let this be a reminder—today, on the New Moon, this Christmas, and even in the New Year—that this connection and friendship gives us strength, joy, and resilience for all the days to come. ✨

These towns, in Slovakia adorned with twinkling Christmas lights, create a magic that delights both children and adults alike—a gentle reminder that wonder doesn’t have an age, and the joy of the season is best shared together. 

This magic of light has kept me going through tough last week, in each glow, I’ve found hope, warmth, and a reminder that even the smallest light can brighten the darkest days. Every corner tells a story, every light shines with laughter and love, and for a moment, the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Spending time with our parents is a gift we often Spending time with our parents is a gift we often take for granted. Last week I was close by my mum, who ended up in hospital. She’s 83, active until recently, always wanting to walk, explore, and do something. Seeing her now, with the impact of progressive dementia, is a gentle reminder of how life changes — and how precious each moment truly is.

She’s stable now, and I hope for many more moments together. But for now, she needs care. These times have made me realise just how deeply a single life touches us, and how every memory matters. I’m slowly reaching a place of acceptance for what is.

This video was taken two weeks ago, in the High Tatras mountains. She loves Frank Sinatra, and that day she felt so uplifted — the joy on her face says it all.

Every touch, smile, hug, and presence makes a huge impact — not just for people with dementia, but for all of us. Being in touch with loved ones, showing LOVE, ( that we truly care ) and sharing JOY are so important. Connection and supportive environments are one of the threads that help people live longer and fuller lives.

Thanks @drchatterjee for sharing a picture with your mum recently — it truly resonated with me, and your words about dharma felt so relevant.

Cherish these moments. They truly matter. 💛
